Assessment

  • Homeworks: 25%
  • Exams: 45% (15% each of three: two in class and one final)
  • In-Class: 15%
  • All-Star Sounding: 5%
  • End-of-semester case: 5%

  • All-star sounding: (1) draw the sounding and (2) give a presentation on it
  • Thermal wind & jet stream: (1) 300 mb analysis and writeup
  • Winter precip type: in-class "lab" activity with 3 or 4 profiles
